12 Days Kilimanjaro & Safari

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be transferred to your accommodation, where your guide will conduct a full briefing and equipment check to prepare you for the adventure ahead.

Start your Kilimanjaro climb with a scenic drive to the Londorossi Gate, where permits and registration are handled. From the gate, a short drive through montane forest takes you to the trailhead at Lemosho. The trek to Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree Camp) leads you through lush rainforest, home to blue monkeys and a variety of birdlife.

Today you emerge from the forest into the heath and moorland zone, climbing steadily to Shira Ridge and dropping slightly to camp on the Shira Plateau with views of Kilimanjaro’s upper slopes.

A shorter day to help with acclimatization, crossing the scenic Shira Plateau. You’ll enjoy expansive views and a relaxed pace to Shira 2 Camp.

Climb high, sleep low — this crucial acclimatization day brings you to Lava Tower for lunch before descending into the verdant Barranco Valley. A dramatic day with constantly changing landscapes.

Tackle the impressive Barranco Wall, a highlight of the trek, then traverse ridges and valleys before reaching Karanga Camp. Another important day for acclimatization.

You’ll ascend through alpine desert to reach Barafu, your base for the summit attempt. Rest, hydrate, and mentally prepare for the midnight climb to the top of Africa.

Summit day! Start before midnight to reach Stella Point at sunrise and push to Uhuru Peak. After celebrating at the top, descend to Barafu for a short break, then continue to Mweka Camp for a well-earned rest.

Enjoy your final hike through the rainforest. Upon arrival at the gate, receive your summit certificate and transfer back to your hotel with memories to last a lifetime.

After breakfast in Arusha, your Asili safari guide will meet you for the drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most underrated gems. Often overlooked in favor of Serengeti, Tarangire surprises visitors with its wild beauty, massive baobab trees, and remarkable density of elephants. During the dry season, the Tarangire River draws countless animals, creating thrilling wildlife scenes.

After breakfast, your journey continues through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on the way to the Serengeti. Along the route, enjoy panoramic views and Maasai villages before entering the park through the Naabi Hill Gate. Once inside, you’ll begin your Serengeti game drive, with opportunities to spot the Big Cats, herds of wildebeest, giraffes, and more.

Rise early for a full day of game viewing in Serengeti National Park, known for its open plains and dramatic predator-prey interactions. Depending on the season, your guide will navigate toward the most active areas — whether in Seronera, Ndutu, or further north. Watch lions stalk buffalo, leopards resting in trees, and elephants bathing in seasonal rivers.

After an early breakfast, you’ll leave Serengeti behind and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll descend into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Spend the day exploring this natural amphitheater filled with lions, elephants, flamingos, jackals, and even rhinos. After a picnic lunch by a hippo pool, ascend and begin your journey back to Arusha, arriving by evening.
